Westrend offers many types of finishes ranging from a stain blocking primer to “furniture like” finishes.  The type of finish system and final look is dependant on the wood species chosen the texture and colour of the wood itself.

For rough or resawn surfaces we typically use a flood coater as shown below.  This helps get the coating in and under any loose fiber and results in a well bonded and nice uniform film finish

For smooth surfaces we use roll coaters, Vacuum coaters and spray systems with inline drying capabilities. The end result is a smooth and consistent beautifully finished material
